My dad has a sense of humor like that.

Solution for dad and mum: teach Calvin about showers, and let him play “ship captain” in there!

It’s about time Dad got even with Calvin

I think that the dad usesd to be a lot like Calvin when he was a child. I’m the youngest in my family and I can remember my dad telling me not to expect special treatment as the “baby” because he and my mom were both the youngest in their families, so I couldn’t get away with anything. SIGH. What a rotten thing to do to a kid.

Dad’s approach works for the dog, too.

My dad fooled me like this all the time. Like Calvin, I was not thrilled when i found out what time it was.

On the bright side, Calvin gets to pick dad’s rest home.

My husband does this to our girls, but it’s not bath time. It’s clean the house, yard work, exercise, etc.

A dad’s fun filled way to cope with a son who is always springing new, not always pleasant, surprises of his own.

Unfortunately this will probably only work once. Next time he’ll have to think of something else.

I agree with Terry. Of course, dad will have to think of many other methods before he tries this again.

Calvin likes a bath as much as my Staffordshire Terrier.

I like how the lines in the pattern on Dad’s shirt always stay vertical regardless of what position he’s in. Hobbes looks kinda dissapointed with the situation too.

Dad, have you ever tried giving Calvin a hose-bath instead?

Gee, Calvin hates baths, except when you can’t get him out. (OTOH, that’s usually when he’s acting like a killer whale and splashing the water over the entire room, so maybe it’s not a positive thing when he doesn’t want to get out…)

Messing with a kid’s mind builds great character. Sometimes for the kid too.

ive done this to the little girl i babysit. it a very mean joke. but kids do prefer showers. he should try that. love how hobbes is just leaning on the tub. lol so cute.

Daddy has a good trick on Calvin about bath time Calvin dislike. Too bad! Keep Calvin clean and fresh smell! I can imagine when Calvin grows up he ought to be his responsibilites to take care of himself but I think not. sheeshhh!
