NATIONAL SCRAPPLE DAY. National Scrapple Day on November 9th recognizes the first pork food invented in America. For those not familiar with scrapple, it is traditionally a mush of pork scraps and trimmings combined with cornmeal, wheat flour, and spice, such as sage, thyme, savory and black pepper. The mush is then formed into a semi-solid loaf, sliced and pan-fried.
MICROTIA AWARENESS DAY. Microtia Awareness Day dedicates November 9th to spreading hope and knowledge concerning a congenital disability, which derives its name from the Latin terms for little ears. Mark the calendar and think of the number 9 as the shape of an ear.
Oliver, Bluebell and THIS SIDE UP pictured. Thank you MCTS as, once again, I referred to your TEN CATS chart. Gosh, but that is so helpful for distinguishing between some of them.
Oliver’s so cute!!When my dad was little my grandparents were taking him for a ride & telling him to look a certain things . So he said “If you open your eyes you see things!”
They’re so adorable tucked into their little beds. Especially Oliver. If Oliver thinks it’s odd that it’s dark in the morning, just wait until it gets to when it’s light out at night. On another note, saw three varied thrushes, two chickadees, two wrens, and a dragonfly while out walking today.

Opening my eyes at 2 am, technically morning, did not bring any light. Sigh, it;s become my wake up time over the last several days.

Ollie, I know the feeling. Maybe just keep them closed some mornings? But then there is Chesney yammering, I know.

I don’t crawl out of bed these days until my Alexa reminds me it’s time for my morning insulin shot.
