I like the Good Book. I use it often. (That’s the Bible for any whippersnappers who have never heard of it.)

Never seen an owl in my life, I’ve lived in New York for couple years. Although, there’s been owls spotted.

Barred owls all thru the hollows of West Virginia!!

Maybe seagull can make some introductions to the owl…

We use the Merlin bird ID app. We live pretty close to a nature reserve and it’s amazing all the birds you can hear but they’re hiding in bushes and trees.

Bought a cheap 12 hole ocarina or “potato flute” that can make a fairly descent barred owl call – including the little growl it does at the end of the last note. Only seen the instrument used once professionally by the Danish Orchestra when they covered Ennio Morricone’s spaghetti western music.

Man, more people need to live by those words in this day and age. I’m finding entirely too many people who are just relying on the words the heard some schmuck say in passing as unbending truth when they clearly shouldn’t be these days.

Oh, I love this, and I would buy copies for librarians I know, but $16 to mail an 8.5×11 print to Providence?? I’d rather go to the artist’s liquor store, and buy some beer too.
