“MEH?!!”

Never ask anyone what they really think of your favorite thing.

Things that are significant to me are sometimes fine with others, but occasional not even that. I know there are others out there who are like me, but they’re not near me.

When my wife asked me how the meal was and I reply, “It’s fine” she gets upset and never cooks it again. I’m very lucky to have her, but I need to be careful in my responses!

Is that like saying, ’it’s interesting.’

It’s all in the tone, emphasise and enthusiasm… fine can be as Marigold expressed it… “meh”… or “What a fine upstanding gentleman”…

Marigold is being polite, Phoebe!

You’re supposed to tell her how awesome it is and how awesome she is for liking it.

I don’t think Marigold realizes that “meh” is even worst.

Now we know that song is not “Stairway to Heaven”

Now you’re just rubbing it in, Marigold.

But this is an important lesson for Phoebe—just because you like something a whole lot, doesn’t mean everybody else will universally like it too. And that’s okay, as we all have our differing tastes. It’s what makes us all unique.

So why wasn’t it called the Terrible Vortex of Fine?

Then there’s “I feel FINE” — Freaky, Insecure, Nervous, Exhausted.

Never tell people about the song that really gets you in the hope that they will feel the same about it. Keep it to yourself as a precious treasure that nobody else can have.
