As a pet food guy once said. The easy part is making dog food that the dogs will eat. The hard part is making dog food the owner will want to feed the dog and that the dog will still eat.
I tried the gourmet stuff on my cats and they wouldn’t eat it. They were outside cats so must have found something else they liked. The funny part is nothing would eat it, it just sat out there. I finally got the cheap stuff which was happily eaten.
A very kind lady once rescued a beautiful Border Collie from a really bad situation. She couldn’t keep him ‘cuz he kept trying to herd her cat and was freaking out all concerned. We adopted the BC, and she told us he wouldn’t eat unless she stood right next to him. Long story short, it wasn’t the BC that was needy it was, well, you know.

Simple solution. Next time at the store, look for ‘Flattened Roadsquirrel’ flavored dog food.

Time to start monitoring Dogzilla for upchuck puddles.

It’s a cross between a road and a squirrel. Like a road, it’s flat, like a squirrel it’s furry.
