The presenter is clearly not a fan of Tiger Sharks.
Their fans would never say Tiger Sharks have won, they would say we won because sports fans always talk in plural first-person pronoun when they talk about their favorite team.
That is one part of Thanksgiving will not miss is sports. Unknown what my brother-in-law will watch, Friday definite no sports. Tried it long ago lasted only longest hour then turned TV off.
Love the strip, but regular season games only have one 10-minute overtime period, and they end in ties if neither team manages to take the lead before it’s over.
Yep. Totally true. As a cartoonist, I must sometimes stray from the pedantic in favor of the gag. “ Marcy’s” line just didn’t seem funny enough when I had her patience tested by a regular overtime. But your comment is a good one . Shows that you know your stuff! Happy Thanksgiving!

Triples overtime? Will the NFL ever allow that (more commercials)?

Isn’t Delray their equipment manager? Shouldn’t he be there with the team?

Thanks for a fun strip. Luckily I know next to nothing about football, so I didn’t need to get that the joke was a fake!

That was almost Chicago today. Poor clock awareness by the QB and head coach at the end.

Triple Overtime? Um, that is not how professional football works during the regular season.
StoicLion1973 about 1 month ago
I would say triple overtime is a stretch but it took the UGA Bulldogs 8-overtimes to beat the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.
