At the Original Thanksgiving, turkey was a side dish, the main course was venison. Do you realize how long you’d be eating leftovers from an average sized deer?

Saw an ad while watching football on Sunday – a 12 – 15lb turkey for $3.99 if you spend $30 or more. That would cost about 40€ ($42) here.

I always felt that the singular of turkey should be ‘turkus,’ and the plural should be ‘turkies.’

One can freeze the extra turkeys if they have freezer space and cook them at a later date. Hard to get a turkey at non-holiday times of the year.
