I found my way around Albertsons this morning. We all hate turkey, so we got a nice Prime Rib. They were out of potato chips!? And had only 4 cans of evap milk left? Apparently there’s going to be a boatload of Pumpkin pies made. And I guess you’ll have to use your finger in the dip.

Makes me sad for all the little kitties out there who don’t have homes and someone to take care of them. I have room for them in my heart. I wish I had room in my house for all of them.

    Today is:

NATIONAL CAKE DAY. I don’t have cake, but I made fudge yesterday. On that note, I want to give you all a heads up that I will not be here on Wednesday night. My nephew Tyler and his wife, Alex (Alexandra) invited us to Thanksgiving dinner. Tyler is my brother Paul’s son (the brother who died last year). They live in Indiana. We didn’t want to make the trip all in one day, so we are leaving here Wednesday morning, then stopping in Palatine, Illinois, to pick up our sister, Mary. Daniel (my younger brother) will do the driving. His wife, Terre, is going too. We will spend Wednesday night with our nephew & his wife and son. Then after sharing Thanksgiving dinner with them, we will return home. They’re not eating until maybe 6:00 and it’s a long drive back here to Wisconsin, so it will be late when we get home Thursday night. Hopefully, the snow they are predicting won’t impact our trip too much. Anyway, I asked Alex if there was any food we could bring and she asked if I could bring some of my fudge and divinity, which I always bring when we get together for Christmas. So, I made a batch of fudge and one of divinity and will take some of that to them. Yes, I’m keeping some of each for myself! I will be back Thursday night (I hope!).

Great poem, Graham. I’m glad Jack made his way back to the warehouse. Annie will be relieved.

What bloodykate, jessegooddoggy and ladykat said – those are my words and feelings about this poem, too! Thank you, dear Mr Harrop!

Thanks Graham, for this poem. We all are relieved that our Jack found his way home to the warehouse. Bet there were many, many hugs and kisses.

My mother made the best fudge at Christmas time. It was the only time of year she made it. I miss it. I’ve tried a few times to make it like hers but it never came out the same so I stopped.

That poor kitty. :( Good thing Jack finally found the warehouse. On another note, saw two wrens, two juncos, and four varied thrushes while out walking today.
