    What’s gotten out of hand is treating people like we can’t do without them. Hey, I’m ecstatic there are police, firefighters, nurses, teachers, etc, willing to do those jobs. But now, my way of thinking is that no one should ever be more important than anyone else. Treat everyone equally…

    I actually knew the American Mother of the Year 1967. Minnie Guenther was a missionary’s wife in Arizona for over 50 years. The Apache chief Alchesay was close friends with the Guenthers and would ride three days just to have a dinner with them.

    “Best Mom of 2024” – sounds like a very subjective thing to me. And it kind of cheapens what it means to be a great mom. Dedicated mothers aren’t in it for awards.

    I just hope all the great moms out there are properly appreciated by their families. That’s who they’re doing it for.
