Our backyard squirrels;

“Dogs below, hawks above. The sunabiches won’t get away this time.”

Find this one kind of sad

Its just a part of nature… oh look. He’s waving.

Hopefully, it wasn’t your friend.

“Yeah, I told the hawk where he lived.”

They get small dogs sometimes too :(

And the eagle got it for lunch.

Sadly. I do like to watch eagles and hawks soaring, though.

Ah, the talons of fate. Taunt the empty branches with a longing whimper, a quiet woof and a long sigh.

Buh bye, cute rat.

Normally I smile when I read these…heavy sigh!

The shame of being out chased by a hawk.

I love Bliss’ wonderful outdoor scenes — except when they get morbid.

I wish that bird of prey was a resident in my backyard!

He definitely hightailed it out of there.

as cute as squirrels might be, hawks and eagles gotta eat too…

I read Bliss for something slightly amusing & whimsical. Today’s is neither.

Kill the bird! Squirrels are better!

A bit macabre but all a part of the circle of life.
