The grass is always greener on the other side of the snake

But a snake can cuddle with you, and a bird or a turtle can’t.

you should have left that apple on the tree

Always somebody with less than others.

Turtles don’t have teeth; they have beaks.

Turtles/tortoises do not have teeth, they have beaks, like birds. Snakes do have teeth.

[WHAM! WHAM! WHAM! WHAM!]
