Just another one of the many customs and pagan traditions that the "Christian " faith plagiarized from other earlier religions. Much earlier. In some cases, thousands of years. Everyone loves a good story, but things get complicated when people start believing it’s real.

We do, of course, have Christmas cakes.

I enjoy Christmas but I certainly agree that Jesus would like to see much more emphasis on helping the needy rather than just family and friends.

If one owned a fair size of property, then buying and planting a live tree each Christmas might be a worthy effort. Decorate it then undecorate and watch it ant the others grow over the years.

It’s sad that some can’t respect others, and their beliefs! It is not hurting anyone…so I say, STFU!

It’s people like this that are from the bitter root! Trying to spoil others happiness!

    MERRY CHRISTMASKAH!

if you think about it, it is kinda stupid. Cut down a tree, drag it in the house, hang all kinds of stupid crap on it for a couple weeks, then de-hang all the crap and throw it outside again by the curb.

Or for the price of a tree, maybe 20 cakes.

Christmas is the day that the Catholic Church chose to celebrate His birth. It is not His birthday, it was a date chosen by the Church and essentially took over the pagan holiday celebrating the solstice.

Just as Easter is a day chosen to celebrate His rising. It coincides with another pagan celebration, I believe, having to do with fertility and thus we have bunnies.
