It should be no great shock that many younger people, except toward maybe their very closest relatives, find the presence of old people in general as irrelevant and rather a nuisance — As with the struldbrugs in ‘Gulliver’s Travels’. IMO

When we’re kids that’s all we think about but when you get older, you don’t care since you’ve become comfortable with who you are.

As long as you still have some friends. A social network is important as you age.

Aunty, that’s because the older you get the less we need, understand, include, or accept you. Just the way it is.

It reminds me of what is in another comic from today. A guy is wearing a t-shirt that says “I am my own App.” I like living my own life finally.

In psych class in college I mentioned spending time with my parents’ best friends from their high school days. One person said, “wait, parents can have friends?”

in the words of Popeye, “I am what I am”.If someone doesn’t like me for me then screw them. Fortunately my parents taught me that from an early age.
