Coming Soon 👀 At the beginning of April, you’ll be

It’s exactly how your office will look. After they fire you for not doing your job. And they clear out all your catalogs & junk, to make space for the new person. GOT THE MESSAGE? GET TO WORK!!
I don’t even bother looking at those pictures anymore. They look great, but they’re not realistic, at least not for me. I know some people are into “minimalism”, but I think it looks so cold and impersonal. I like things around that make me feel good. If that means it looks cluttered to others, so be it.
Hello Cathy friends! Happy Wednesday! Have a great day, all!
I’m always leery of those wonderful photos of glass-top desks, where none of the things on it seem to have power cords, which ruin the whole superclean, see-thru desk look.
That’s like seeing pictures of bookshelves which only contain a small number of books, organized by color, and a few art pieces. No bookshelf containing my hundreds of books of all different sizes, bindings, colors, and degrees of decomposition will ever look like the photo.
A long time ago (like over 3 decades) I had a boss that wanted everyone’s desk to be completely cleared before they left for the day. As a software developer I often worked on more than one program at a time so had various piles of source listings on my desk. When he demanded I clear my desk at night (and I usually left hours after the office closed) I pointed out how much time was going to be wasted to pull all the listings out of a drawer and sort them into the proper piles again – note some of the piles would be almost a foot high. For some reason he never mentioned cleaning my desk off again.
I hope everyone got a chance to enjoy at least part of this fine mid week day.

The process of reorganizing ain’t fun, though the results feel great. I should know, since I went through a lot of my stuff Wednesday …
