Don’t believe everything you hear. especially on the “news shows” it depends very much on their PR. I lived in L.A. back in the 70’s and it was amazing how some of the good" guys and gals at that time weren’t when you met them in public and vice versa
When beloved actor Henry Fonda was going to turn down the role of the villainous gunman Frank in Once Upon a Time in the West, he asked Eli Wallach, veteran of some great villain roles, told him to do it because it would be so much fun.
I’ve noticed that, when the villain tells the hero something improbable, the hero always believes him. “Your best friend and mentor is a double agent” is always met by “really? I didn’t know” not “you’re full of shot”.
my daughter used to work a big annual convention and got to meet more than a few actors. They can get tired and cranky during a busy speaking schedule, but she always appreciated those who were nice to staff.

Little tip here : they all are lying… they are not who they say they are in the movies.

Watched my fave Hallmark actor in a dramatic role. She was a vicious, lying killer. Broke my heart, but then, I remembered she was ACTING!

As nice a guy as Paul Reiser is supposed to be, I never liked him after Aliens.

There’s a reason a biography I have of a well-known portrayer of monsters, mad scientists, gangsters, etc. is titled Dear Boris.
