Go to another country and pay next to no tuition. Heck, in Germany, you don’t have to be a citizen or anything. They figure if they can attract smart folks from around the world to study there, maybe those smart folks will want to stay.
Try working during the Summer break, work on a side gig, buy used text books, save money by not buying the latest Apple product or on a trip to Cancun. End of snark!
Here in the good old land of freedom it’s getting to the point that soon we will probably get charged for breathing. The CEO of Nestle started that drinking water wasn’t a batch human right. I suppose this was in response to Nestle getting lambasted for draining the water supply for their bottled water.
When I was ready for college, I went to Queens College at CUNY. There was no tuition and I had to pay the highest fee of any CUNY college: $85 a semester. I had a NMSQT scholarship of $125 a semester so it paid for the fee and a book or two.
Another option is joining the military (while recognizing it isn’t for everyone). It does give a great deal of “real life” experience and (at least during my time) had many options for further education. By the time I retired from the Air Force I had four college degrees, and no debt, as well as a solid background and skills I took to my civilian jobs after my military service.
Granted I left the service in ‘95, so my data is a bit dated now… but let’s assume that the military still encourages education now like they did during my time in. It’s a reasonable option so long as you don’t mind the potential downside of getting shot at on occasion.

Nerwin would understand if there was an “/s” in Broomie’s speech balloon.

Just don’t try to come to Canada any more. They are cutting student visas left, right and centre.

Or you could do like my kids did, get scholarships and work some jobs. All four got their college with no student loans!

Avoid college completely and go a university instead.

You make the silly assumption he’ll even MAKE it to college. Let’s aim for middle school first (and even THAT’S a long shot!)

Heck, I’m still pretty bad at understanding sarcasm in my 30s!
