In the ’50s I read time paradox short stories avidly. They were big in SF from the ’30s to the ’50s. The stream petered out although time travel is still a theme.
That reminds me of a “Far Side” panel where two fishermen see multiple mushroom clouds, and one remarks, “I’ll tell you what that means, Norm — No size restrictions and screw the limit.”
If I could borrow his time machine and go shopping for produce, I’d go back to a time when the stores still had Sanguinello orange juice, unoiled raisins, and Cox’s apples.
