It’s amazing I tend to remember the small things from “big” vacations. The last time I visited Hawaii ten years ago I was on the island of Kauai. It was a fabulous place to visit, but the memories that make me smile the most during the visit was eating my first puka dog, visiting a small, family owned ice cream shop (twice!) when we were the only patrons and got talking to the owners, and walking down the street once as the sun was setting and by happenstance came across a viola and violin player outside a small gift shop. We sat down in old, rickety chairs with drinks in hand, and without a care in the world, enjoyed two very talented people playing their instruments. There might have been 10-15 people around enjoying the show. What a great time!
GOOD MORNING CREW! I’ve seen the Eiffel Tower & L’Arc D’Triomph, but no dumpsters. There was a street hustler asking for coins, though, with a cute cat.

You know, that big tower with the fancy restaurant near the top and a dumpster at the bottom.

Don’t forget the dumpster behind the 5 star Michelin restaurant.
Good morning, Crew!

I ordered a steak in Paris once and discovered that it was horse, not cow. Neither the taste nor the tenderness were good.

“You know what they call a Quarter-Pounder with Cheese in France?”
“Who cares? I’ll take a dozen!”

GOOD MORNING CREW! I ate in a nice Italian restaurant with my friend and daughter in Paris back in 2000. It was a lovely trip.

My favorite expensive restaurant at the top of the Hancock closed. The view was great.
