This is arguably outright plagiarism. Harry Shearer (Spinal Tap, the Simpsons) and David Lander (Lenny and Squiggy) did this routine as part of a comedy troupe called “the Credibility Gap” back in the 70s. It was featured in a 1977 movie, as well as on a comedy record, which was/is played regularly on the Dr Demento radio show.
Pretty much the reason I quit trading baseball cards in the 1950s. Sadly, the same business with comic books stopped when all mine disappeared upon moving out to the country.
