More salads, i bet the kids will love that, ha.

When the cost quadruples, there will be more protests!

I still remember teaching at a middle school in Jefferson County Georgia in 1988. It was 98% African-American. The students had a salad bar. I watched some of the girls put a few lettuce leaves on the plate and then about 2 inches of bacon bits.

It is unlikely to work, unless there are vats of Ranch Dressing.

And most of this “healthy” food will end up in the trash. Isn’t that what actually happened in some schools when they tried this?

Personally, I’ve always loved a good salad bar, but yeah, it was never the most popular option at the school lunches in my experience. Plus, eating healthy is great and all, but people, kids or adults, also still enjoy some variety, and I sort of doubt that’s what the school district will be going for here, because it sounds like they’re going for the bare minimum option.

That is funny. Politicians will often claim credit for successful policies that they fought against before they were implemented.

So if this plan fails, he’ll take the blame, right?
