Many years ago I remember Melvin The Mayfly (?) who wanted to visit other rooms and to read a short story. :-)

My New Year’s resolution for 2026 is to stop procrastinating.

It’s a bird, it’s a plane! No, it’s a pain in my neck.

A Mayfly’s life span is longer than one day. The adult Mayfly may only live one day, after attaining adulthood. But, over all, its life span is a year.

Now, I thought Mayflies didn’t have mouth parts.

My resolutions identify as a mayfly…

I resolved to not have a resolution. So far, so good.

That resolution mayfly, or it may not.

The minutes may drag but the years fly. We’re all mayflies but we see it too late.

Give him a break, he barely had time to make the resolution. He still has some bugs to work out.

With good diet and exercise, he could live a day and a half!
