NATIONAL HOT BUTTERED RUM DAY
POPEYE® THE SAILOR MAN DAY. January 17 marks the 95th Birthday of the world’s most famous spinach loving, nautical hero — it’s Popeye the Sailor Man!
Waaaayyyy back when I was in grade school, we used to sing a song about Popeye. Sung to the tune of Popeye’s song, we used different words. We sang, “I’m Popeye the sailor man. I live in a garbage can”. I think the next line was, “I eat all the garbage…” but I can’t remember what came next, Is there a remote chance anyone here is familiar with this song?
My neighbour who lost her cat suddenly on Christmas Day picked up her new cat from the shelter yesterday. She’s a 13yo smallish white/tabby named Poppy, with an interesting nose ‘splodge’. She seems to be settling in well, she found the litter tray and the food station, and spent the night on the bed. I’ve yet to visit to see her, but I’ll do that later.

Larceny runs romantic in their town. It was probably the Dogs.

No honor among thieves, boys. You ought to know seeing that you are charter members of that group!

“I love to go swimmin’ with bare-naked women”. That’s from the ’50s.

I wonder who would do that Chez? Someone trying to keep you out of trouble.

It must have been either somebody desperate for shoddy goods, or somebody who loves those two rapscallions enough to want to keep them out of trouble.

I am really enjoying this story line, GH!

Ever since Noah Webster, there’s been no honour left in the United States. And it’s gotten increasingly difficult to find honor as well.
