I get voting stuff for my insurance companies every year and I have no opinion of any of the people running for the boards!

Today’s comic comes courtesy of our local school board, who called one day and asked my opinion on a bunch of stuff I no longer know anything about, as my kids have aged out of the local schools. I said so. She said she only needed my opinion. I said that I had no information, and couldn’t therefore make a valid one. She then, slowly and carefully, asked if I needed information to have an opinion. I, slowly and carefully, said I couldn’t have a valid opinion without information and wouldn’t give an invalid opinion ‘cause that wouldn’t help, as far as I could know. She sounded truly baffled when she thanked me and got off the call.

Employees of any rank have no say in who is on the board. The board is elected by shareholders.

And frankly I don’t care to know your opinion.
