In a couple hours they go around doing cage checks waking you up in the process to make sure you are asleep.

3rd panel, “lights out!”, sounds like a prison.

Poor Buckles! Jill would feel so guilty if she could see him now. Finnegan has been gone almost 2 months. I miss him so much. I don’t do well at all without a dog in the house. I know I can’t replace Finn, but I really need a little cuddle-bug in my life again. My niece drove my son and me to see a Maltese/Shih Tzu (Malshi) on Saturday. Her name is Perla. She’s a 20 pound 5 or 6 year-old. The shelter is the same one from which I adopted Finn in 2014, and also Mykei in 1990. She looks so much like Finn! My son is going to go in to pay the adoption fee tomorrow, and we can bring her home soon.

Poor Buckles! They could’ve done better than this! Like someone suggested, why couldn’t he stay with Christina while they were gone? She may dress him up in funny clothes and stuff but it would’ve been better than being locked up like some kind of criminal.

If I can’t take my dog, I am not going. I have been this way for 20 years. My husband and I will alternate, so one of us is home with them, or we all go as a family.

Many flights and hotels are incresingly becoming pet friendly, so why would I leave them?

In fact, there is a new airline, K9Jets, specifically for pets and their owners.

I’ve not tried it yet, but may do this summer. I will let you know how it goes.

Am glad you are getting another doggy. When your gone no longer has a hairy heartbeat it’s so empty

All poor Buckles. I couldn’t do that to my dog. It would break my heart. I had to leave her at the vet overnight after she was spayed and it hurt then. I think cages for our precious animals are cruel.

When I take my pooch to the groomer, I remind them not to put her in a cage.

It just breaks my heart to see Buckles in a predicament like this. They couldn’t leave him with Christina and her family?

I’m sorry about this comment but I’m not liking this series about the precious Buckles in that cage and then in the dark ? His expression in the third panel is just " heart breaking " : (

When we leave for vacation, I have a pet sitter come over five times a day to take care of the pack. The TV stays on 24/7. I also have cameras recording inside/outside the house so we can watch the pack 24/7.

It took us a few pet sitters before we found the one who meets our’s and the pack’s needs. She is great, she runs her pet sitting company that has over five individual people under contact.
