I came back on late, after a day spent with Whisperflicka (Carol) where I took her to her eye doc’s post surgery eval., we put in a new furnace filter and have just been keeping warm as winter is here with snow still on the ground and below freezing at night. She put some loot into a birthday card so I will get some new seat covers for the ‘wagon’. :-)
Started answering each birthday wish but with Turnover approaching I just wanted to get over so … THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR BIRTHDAY WISHES ! :-)
Queen and her husband have to rent an SUV and drive back to Penn. In the snow. She only has a truck thats not up to a long trip, and Brad has a sub Compact. Her sisters friends are overwhelmed and it’s impossible to get things done long long distance. Not going to be any kind of fun. She says Hi.
I never knew ants could be so polite as to wait until the picnickers left before getting into the food. Maybe they didn’t do it in the most polite way, telling the cats to go, but at least they didn’t attack the food before the girls finished eating!
Their is a species of ant called something like dinoponera gigantica or something, from Brazil, and they are HUGE !! That’s what those ants look like because they are as bid as their paws !!
It is still frozen solid here in NYC. Mark, Farah and I went out to dinner last night. Such fun, such a good meal (nicely presented) and Mark is still raving about the Tres Leche Cake we shared for dessert. Going to return to Acey Ducey again! Only gripe is that the music was deafening. Sports TV screens were all over the place. Couldn’t hear – had to shout to be heard – but we didn’t become hoarse. Walking just a block to the car, Farah said her face was frozen. Hope we don’t see more snow for a week at least. Ice still everywhere. Lots of Christmas decorations lit up the night. Too pretty to take down I’d guess. Farah leaves for CT in 90 minutes.
Potp prayers for Tomball of Tinykittens HQ. (Power of the Paw). He’s back at the vet hospital for a few days. Nearly choked on large kibble when he got his appetite back last night. He’s receiving oxygen and a new antibiotic…but feeling better.
My, such a polite (yet pushy) ant. I have no problem with ants, as long as they keep to themselves. On another note, saw three ravens, a golden crowned kinglet, two nuthatches, three chickadees, and a varied thrush whikle out waking today.

The spirit of sisterhood seems to be wasted on the ants.

Woof would be wonderful company on a picnic. Paws crossed Rose and I get SNOW! It will only be an inch or two, if that, but certainly a nice change.
