Followed by âThe Song of the Empty Headâ for neglecting to fill the gas tank!
Just get the broom out of the trunk.
194919671982, Hopefully, she remembered to put it in the trunk.
What? The gas tank?
A thumb goes up, a car goes by
Itâs nearly 1 AM and here am I
Hitchinâ a ride, hitchinâ a ride
Gotta get me home by the morninâ light
âThe Song of the Hitchhiking (Old) Witchâ
Soon to be replaced by, âThe Song of the Empty Batteryâ.
âOn the road againâ.
The is an âOpen Road Songâ. Itâs by Eve 6. Itâs one of the songs I would sometimes play when I was taking a road trip.
Should keep her broom in the trunk for emergencies.
I much prefer âBeyond the Blue Horizonâ.
Life is an open road Itâs the best story never told Itâs an endless sky, itâs the deepest sea Life is an open road to meââ Bryan Adams
Gasp! You mean we wonât have $2.00 gas and eggs for $1.25 a dozen?
1956 Plymouth v8 ?!?
Broomy, how many times do I have to remind you? Use your magic powersâŚ.geeeeesh!
Almost Heaven, West Virginia
Blue Ridge Mountains, Shenandoah River
Life is old there, older than the trees
My car just died now, sucking on the breeze
Country roads, take me home
To the place I belong
Exxon oil, mountain mama
Take me home, country roads
All my memories gather âround her
Gas pump lady, stranger to blue water
Dark and dusty, painted on the sky
Misty smell of premium, teardrop in my eye
I hear her voice in the morninâ hour, she calls me
The radio reminds me fill your gas tank right away
Drivinâ down the road, I get a feelinâ
That I shouldâve stopped for gas yesterday, yesterday
Take me home, (down) country roads
I believe âThe Sound of the Gravel Crunchingâ might be the next compelling song ( ´シシ)ďž(._.`)
Broomie, you can always use your broom to get where youâre going.
I grew up in an air Base and the WW2 era Jeeps had a stick by the driver to check if it needed gas, none of them had a gas gauge that was accurate.
