Totally! No class whatsoever. Mr. D should’ve defended you saying something like, “His ears are fine, and it’s his heart that’s big because it holds so much love. Our lives would be so empty without him.” ‘cause that’s the God’s honest truth.

How rude to belittle a person’s pet in front of them

“Common friends” seems a bit biased/elitist.

And EVERYBODY"S p-o’d, except for the speaker. Seems sorta useless.

I think Fred’s feelings have been hurt.

Seems like the guy is just being friendly in an awkward way. Just let it go, Fred.

I can just imagine how this “friend” will greet Mrs. Dear. Mr. Dear’s expression already suggests that the friendship is on thin ice.
