    It was like this for me as a child. I used to live a mile from the nearest candy factory. You could smell what ever sweets they were every morning as we could smell it from even that distance away.

    I gave my wife a stand mixer two years ago, when she was mourning a dog we put down. She’s getting good at various breads. I tracked down the Lowell Inn crescent roll my mother use to make – nice.

    Many years ago there was a Merita bread factory in Orlando FL. You could see it and smell the heavenly aroma when you passed by it on I-4.Now that it’s closed, there is NOTHING pleasant about that death trap of a highway

    I knew someone who worked at one of those factories when he was a student years ago, he said they taste as good as they smell!!!

    There used to be a Purina dog food plant off I 70 in Denver. The smell from that was anything but pleasant.
