Does anyone remember the episode of M*A*S*H where Margaret got married and, as a joke, Hawkeye and BJ put her bridegroom in a full-body cast just before the ceremony? Well, Adam might have the same fate!
Having several degenerating disks, I can sympathize, but it’s regular and aggressive PT based exercise that keeps it, at least mine, under control. Strengthen your core, Adam, and your back will thank you for it.
Adam should have a nice desk at home, with a comfortable, supportive chair, and a desktop computer with a nice keyboard. One time I wrote an assignment in a coffee shop, just to say I did it. I liked my two monitors, one for writing, the other for photos or research.
As to Adam going to the coffee place so often – When my husband quit his job about a couple of decades ago, one of the rules I made in order to get me to agree was “We will not eat lunch out every day at Wendys.” This is something we did while he was working when he was on vacation. He agreed to the rule.
I mention it as similar to my husband not wanting to sit around at home all the time – wanting to go out and do simple things such as eating lunch out, walk around one or more of the 4 local Walmarts (2 within walking distance) or the ones a bit further away since he quit his job.
(Before Covid we had gotten to the point that we were eating lunch at Wendys every day and a couple of days a week dinner also. Once Covid hit we stopped eating out for a year plus and then returned to eating out but only 3 days max a week – at that same Wendys!)
