At first I was expecting Bugs Bunny to pop up saying he should have made a left at Albuquerque

Well it did snow last night. But not enough that I would need fancy snowshoes? However the 4:30 forecast says more snow to come.

My snowshoes been in my trunk for the last two years. We finally got snow and I ain’t got no interest no mo.

I’ve come across some nerdy web sites that comment on Lord of the Rings. Of course!

In one discussion they were talking about how Legolas could walk on top of the snow while the rest of the fellowship got buried in it. They computed the area of his footprint and took into account the compressibility of the snow and computed his weight to be about 28 pounds.

Now, these are the same nerds who are willing to suspend disbelief about elves and goblins and magic spells.

Those snowshoes were a great invention. But they would have been better with good marketing. It’s been snowing here for the last 24 hours. Pretty, but going anywhere has been tough.

Blinded by the light…………There is no greater glory than love, nor any greater punishment than jealousy.

I’m more interested in how he stays warm in his loincloth when it’s snowing

I was surprised at how much fun snow shoes can be. You can go anywhere and everywhere.

While in Montana took my family downhill skiing frequently during the winter months. Now in southern Arizona, still have my cross country skies gathering dust in the garage. Several years ago trekked to the White Mountains for some skiing and snow shoeing. Now that we’re past 70, not so much.

It’s been an interesting winter.
