This reminds me of an old “Jiggs and Maggie” strip: Jiggs was painting a room, and his wife’s worthless brother—Bimmy the Bum—kept pestering him with useless “suggestions”. Later, Maggie asked her husband which worked better: the brush or the roller. Jiggs replied, “The brush; the roller wouldn’t fit in his mouth!”

I wonder why we do that. I used to do it when I got my tyres (tires) rotated or changed.

He’s just trying to feel useful. Sniff.

Doesn’t he live in the nuisance zone?

The painter might add a nuisance fee for Adam slowing down the job.

Stop whining, Adam. He’s not going to let you paint.

Adam is just a plain nuisance…

He’s just there so he can say he helped.

I can’t even remember how many times over the years a homeowner would tell that they knew how to paint but just didn’t feel like doing it… (as long as the check was good… lol!)

He used to do some painting until he took a roller to his knee.
