She is pointing at the big screen. Is THAT a phone???

It’s a good system.

Well it is being thoughtful that you let her make the decision, that assures she gets what she wants.

I would guess half or a tad more of my friends have iPhones, I have a 4 year old android with 4G so my carrier wants me to upgrade to 5G. Nope, maybe if my phone died and I had no choice but the new phone will need to be unlocked and dual sim card capable for when I travel.

At some point in EVERY marriage there comes a time when we ALL realize that “suprise’ gifts” no matter HOW expensive, do not cut it any more, and we realize that having the spouse choose their OWN GIFT makes much more sense…

Oh, the “surprise gift” ALWAYS has a place, but ‘allowing’ the spouse to make their own choice becomes much more important – I’ve been married almost 50 years (yes, to the same wife…) so I’m not speaking blindly, here…)

I approve all of my wifes gifts through my daughters first!
