Last panel, the girl in the lower far left… with the distinctive hair style and toothy, um, toothiness.

Isn’t she the one who fretted over the untimely revelation of telekinetic abilities?

And isn’t she making a gesture suggestive of projecting such abilities?

Or has my imagination gotten ahead of my brain?

Between the idea

And the reality

Between the motion

And the act

Falls the Shadow?

That girl could also be “chuunibyou.” Also called “middle-school syndrome.” In Japan this is where adolescents either pretend to or have convinced themselves they have superpowers of some sort. The anime Love, Chunibyo (sic), and Other Delusions is very good and gives a picture of the problem for current and recovering subjects.

A Tale of a Tail that will become a Tall Tale of a Tail in the retelling!

Here a tale about a tail….You see, Collin was a fallin’ but now Red Panda tails’ a haulin’ his silly little buttkus to the ground.

Right after this excitement they’ll be sitting quiet and still in their desks concentrating on the history chapter about clay tablets in Mesopotamia. (Yeah, I chuckled a little. It brought up memories of death-defying recess escapades.)

All of the strips in this arc have been absolutely beautifully drawn. As always!

Are the bars made of rubber to bend that way besides it looks like they are 3’ apart-something they might have at a Marine boot camp and nnot an elementary school.
