    “Philanthropist?” I think not. Mercantilist, maybe.

    1. Major flaw with mercantilism is the belief trade is a zero-sum game, where one country gains equals another’s loss. 2. Tariffs=Taxes {added to the product and passed on down to the consumer. 1775} 3. Tariffs restrict imports and helps domestic industries. {I may not be able to get a needed item due to supply and demand issues.} 4. Currency is devalue to supposedly gain a competitive/aggressive advantage. {I can’t buy as much with my money.} 5. Subsidizing domestic industries to make them more competitive. {Tax money diverted with possible less competition?}

    Leaving the political ourside versus yourside out of it, the purchase of politicians with donations, gifts and free labor (see Lobbyists and Think Tanks writing legislation for politicians) is the issue and not term limits.

    Everytime I see someone spout “Term Limits” I see someone hiding the problem with make-believe concerns.

    Barry Goldwater once said, that an honest politician is one who once bought stays bought.
