Really, if Franklin smart enough to have ideas stolen from surely he should be able to get a job somewhere else, anywhere else.

In missile test we had failing thrusters for some re-entry, ah, “thing”. A new Phd engineer designed a very novel thruster to solve the problem. So novel that it became “Dr Smith’ boondoggle”. Too novel… He was teased by the senior staff. Dr. Smith was different. He would don a fire ret@rdent jump-suit and work side-by-side with us technicians. Impressive. A Phd who could wrench! When it was discovered that his new invention worked extremely well the whole thing got taken over by the management and became the chief engineer’s project. Soon Dr. Smith left the company….

A lot of us have worked for that boss but sadly most have not been as lucky as I was. Our corporate knew I was the primary source of his ideas and when the time was right, he got what he deserved, and I got a major promotion. I was very lucky that corporate was paying attention.

If you can’t get Franklin, Templeton will do it.

Think of this when you hear the phrase “do it like a boss”.
