Amen. Leaders who are in love with power shouldn’t lead.

The forty days of fasting and prayer in Lent commemorate the forty days of Christ’s fasting and prayer while being tempted by Satan in the wilderness.

In our present day it might be more apt to opine, “If only ANY leader wanted this.”

I’m confused. He was tempted to pray for a miracle and to run the church? What’s wrong with that?

Did you squeeze in any moments during your sufferings of considering the full recognition of the humanity of women via a right to ordination?:

Power is like money. There comes a point where you stop controlling it and it starts controlling you.

“What does it profit a man if he gains the whole world but loses his soul?” Mark 8:36

Or maybe the Eagles put it better in Hotel California, “We are all just prisoners here of our own device.”

If you are not master of yourself, someone or something else will be.

Our current ‘leader’ wants others to suffer. His worshipers also want others to suffer.

Cruelty is the point.
