Well, Calvin has a good idea in hiding it, although I think mom and dad are going to notice something when water is going down the stairs, and the bathroom is an indoor swimming pool. However, on the good side, indoor swimming pool (until someone opens the door) on the bad side, water damage, and no bathroom.
Susan001,
Maybe Calvinâs hair has been matted down from all the water spraying around the bathroom. Even so, itâs rather surprising in one sense, since this obviously is a âhair-raisingâ experience for Calvin.
Wasnât Calvin downstairs in yesterdayâs cartoon?
The final warning that Dad should investigate? Panel Four. Calvin telling him not to. Iâm glad Dad lost the âyour turnâ argument. Heâs so much wittier than momâŠ..
When the answer to âIs everything alright?â is âFINE! DONâT COME UP!â itâs a signal to the parent to ascend the stairs as fast as their legs will carry them. You always know that âFineâ is hiding something the kid doesnât want you to know about!

I hear parents tell their kids âI hope when you grow up, you have a kid just like you.â
Makes me wonder what horrible things Calvinâs Mom and Dad mustâve done to deserve him!

Happy, that others wait impatiently for the next strip, like I do!

In panel 3, Dadâs not ârailingâ at Calvin yet, but he will when he âflushesâ Calvin out.
In panel 4, âDonât Let the Rain Come Downâ -Serendipity Singers There will be no serendipitous discovery in this instance.
