Best get two books, one for the top, and one for the bottom level…

You need two of those paving-slab-sized science books, that ought to keep you covered.

get magazines! flexible covers will cover better than hard covers.

Just ignore the rude stares. You don’t need books, milady; you need clothes!

Talking to you would be the least of my thoughts.

Bad idea. People seem to think that you’re only reading a book because you don’t have anyone to talk to, so they come over and try to start a conversation, and you try to be polite and make noncommittal responses, and they just keep trying to extend the conversation, and Go Away! Leave Me Alone! I’m trying to read!

Try wearing ear-buds. Not sure where you’d keep your iPod, though.

Frankly I like the buds she’s already got, but that’s just my opinion.

Newspapers are better. You wrap them around your body, they keep you from freezing.

I’d think they wouldn’t want to sit next to, but admire her from afar—but not too far.
