Global warming is more of a political thing, a means of controlling people, than an actual scientific fact. There hasn’t been ANY actual global temperature increase for the last 7 years, but they don’t tell you that, do they.

But the climates they are achangin’

The NY Times reported, “Antarctica is Warming”, in a recent article. Buried deep in the story was the fact the temperatures at the South Pole were actually getting colder. I’m surprised they even reported it. The NY Times new slogan, “All the News that FITS, We Print”.

I like to learn all about science from ‘Prickly City’ and the deep thinkers on this message board.

I feel so smart now! You guys rule.

Joe-joe, you must be one of those Global-Warming-Denier-Deniers.

How many years of climate statistics will it take to convince the hard-core that the earth is not heating up? Too many, if the Weather Service keeps refusing to record record-setting lows on the assumption they just can’t be right.

As for deep thinking, Joe-joe, sarcasm isn’t it.

Climates change all the time. Nature abhors stasis.

It’s only people who have this irrational fear of natural rhythms and cycles, and they always try to blame it on something bad.

Name changing is the breaucrat’s way for protecting their livelihood.

If you were in Miami last week you would of not believe in global warming. I heard the penguins were vacationing at the beach.

“Amen” to that FireWraith!

“Carmen, global warming is now called climate change” “Why’d they change it?” “Because there are morons out there, Carmen, that think that ‘global warming’ must mean that the entire globe must warm up evenly and that we can never, ever, have a cold day anywhere in the world.”

Oh, wait. That’s not what this comic says.

It’s true that the climate has been changing since forever. However it’s also the case that the change has been accelerating exponentially. Rivers and streams that were predictable for centuries are now dried up or flooding, without the slow predictable progression documented in those centuries. Baby polar bears are drowning because the ice is melting out from under them before they’re old enough to swim to the next floe. And warmer places that typically have rainy winters are experiencing unprecedented blizzards.

There’s no proof that human actions are causing it, just like there’s no proof that McDonald’s causes obesity.
