I used to see if I could phase thru walls every morning when I woke up for the simple reason that it would suck if I could walk thru walls and didn’t know it.
pschearer: While it’s not impossible that Stantis was going for a metaphor, I think he would have been more overt if that was his intent.
Saturdays in this strip are often devoted to Winslow’s attempts to fly.
It’s the reality of newspaper comics (I don’t know if it’s also true of online readership) that Saturdays are the least-read strips of the week. Most often, if a cartoonist is doing a week-long continuity, the climax will appear on Friday, and Saturday will either be a mild wrap-up, or even entirely unrelated to the MTWTF strips.
S. Pastis (“Pearls Before Swine”) is open about the fact that if he’s got a weak gag but doesn’t want to (or can’t afford to) scrap it entirely, he often “buries” it on a Saturday.
Don’t let the mainstream media fool you. They love her. Whenever they show her they know they’ll get all kinds of people worked up and talking about their show. Up go the ratings! That’s all the news is about these days. The media is nothing about informing We the People, it’s all about selling commercials.
Palin is a clown whose five minutes should be just about up. She was bought, made and paid for by the special interest groups who control BOTH political partys.

Thinking that this has anything to do with the economy is quite a stretch. May as well look at it like Palin’s chances for the Presidency.

Don’t count out Govenor Palin. If she is a political lightweight, why is the main stream media trying to destroy her?

“Krypto, The Superdog” you’re not, Winslow!
