one of the most difficult things i think anyone could have to deal with would be a loved one who became disconnected

Why do they put animals’ names in quotation marks? We don’t do that when we talk about things by their names. Rover and Max are individuals that are distinct from other dogs (usually) and deserve more respect than the box of Kleenex the dog tears up, the Hoover that picks up what the dog didn’t, and the Honda it likes to ride in. For that matter I can’t remember a car’s name (the one given by the owner) in quotes!

I think Max is in quotes so you realize that it’s not the real name. When Red’s mom talks about Rover, I don’t recall that his name is in quotes.

I really need to stop reading these at work. I’m not sure that the guys would believe me if I told them my allergies are making my eyes water…

When my lab Cleo was alive, we took her to a nursing home and the smiles on the resident’s faces was priceless. It gave my wife and I such a positive feeling and Cleo loved the attention. Anything that can be done to give some happiness to people is a great idea.

I’m really loving this week…..what is it about our fur friends that gives them so much power over our hearts and brings us such joy?The very meaning of ‘unconditional love.’

I’ve shared my life with dogs, cats, goats, horses, rabbits, gerbiles, poultry, even one amazing groundhog. At the moment, it’s eight insanely evil cats.

And, someday, what a party we will all have over that Rainbow Bridge. I can’t wait! Love ya, monsters…………….

Good question, Why do they put animals’ names in quotation marks? I’ve always wondered that myself! We even did it when I worked at a vet’s office! >:( Today’s comic was so sweet! Animals are amazing, even when they bug the heck out of you, you still love them. I’ve had for cats, a bird and three dogs in my life and I love(d) them all. Miss the ones that went over the rainbow bridge.
