Sign her up for a Red Hat club. That will keep her young.

Could they get her interested in volunteering, or would that be too political?

She needs to get a job – lots of folks of retirement age work – including my husband and myself.

I’m not sure, @Saucy1121, if you are saying or implying that Red Hatters spend all their time at meetings complaining about their physical ailments. But I can tell you (as one of them) that we scarcely mention them at all.
