Oh Elly, you kind of deserved that one! Now maybe that will teach you for bragging, LOL

…..especially since you didn’t even end up BUYING a size 10!!! He was always going to check. Glory be, woman! :o))

Little white lies spice up the marriage a little, and John just had to ruin a good moment by checking the tag.

Totally of today’s comic, but did anyone notice that the tag picture (the one you click on to get to the comic) is still the old FBOFW? It’s got the older Ellie with – I think – a grandchild.

Now, Elly, that was kinda dumb. You should have told him without your clothes on. He never would have checked the tags.

remember the sizes changed since the 60’s- a size 10 now is an old 12. - I have some clothes that really the “real” sizes and some of them are now small.

I remember this from other times I was losing weight. On my last diet I got into a size 10 but it was still a little tight so I bought the 12 because it was more comfortable for movement. Technically Elly is correct, but she was wise to buy the larger size since they’d be more comfortable. I wonder if I’ll ever get into a size 12 again now lol.

My wife can eat like a trucker and still is a size 2 or 4, I forget which. My wife is slim and toned and if I ate as much as her I would be puttiing on weight like there was no tomorrow.

For Ellie, just being able to get into and fasten a size 10 was an accomplishment for her and made her feel great. At least she was realistic and decided to be safe with a larger size.

Guys, never forget to remind your wives now and then that Marilyn Monroe was a size 14.

I know I hate Cleokaya wife as well. I only saw size 10 at a very young age. I am just happy my choloresteral is down with unfortunatly with medical help. I could never get in that size. And I cannot eat a lot. I do exercise.

To paraphrase the censored version of Sean Kingston’s 2007 hit, Elly is “in denial”.

Of course in reality, her dilemma makes her sympathize with the uncensored version. Such priorities.

Ok, as a guy, I dont know what dress sizes mean. However, congrats to elly (apparently) for making herself feel good. Cleokaya, that doesnt sound healthy.

I have loved this strip for years, and am devastated that our paper just replaced it with some really terrible piece of junk. Thank you for letting me have my continuing daily fix of the Patterson family.

Ya know John she gave you two perfect children and she wears a size 12. Good for her. Not everyone has Heidi Klum’s money and personal trainer. Enough said.

mroberts88- My wife is 5’2”, exercises every day, is a nurse, eats healthy (plenty of fruits and vegetables), has muscle definition and was a skier and is still a swimmer and bicylist, even after a spinal cord injury. What’s unhealthy about being in shape?

@cleokaya If every one did that, that would put a tremendouse number of medical caretakers out of work, resulting in more massive unemployment. But not to worry. That would require self discipline.

Cleokaya, you said she ate like a trucker and never gained weight. (Thats what I got.) Truckers eat alot, like full on two meals. If she doesnt gain weight, and all I am going on is what I understood, that sounds like a disorder.

Knowing what you just said, that is good, actually incredible.
