Coming Soon 👀 At the beginning of April, you’ll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your

Next thing you know, we’ll find out the collision could have been avoided if we hadn’t been such pi** poor environmentalists(burning wood, killing off the mammoths, etc.) for the last 10,000 years.
Maybe if we aimed the European Hadron Collider at a couple of the stars on the leading edge of both galaxies, they would go supernova and push us apart…
Nice one, Dirksapprentice!
In 2 billion years, I’d think we ‘d have enough technology to escape the doom of our galaxy. And plus, the two galaxies arn’t gonna collide in an instant. After 2 billion years, only the star systems on the very edge will be hit. Then I’d say we’ll still have a couple more billion years after that. And why the heck are we worrying about this? Only people like me, who wants to cryogenically freeze themselves have anything to worry about.

Better get a move on, Brewster.

Do you think we have an air-bag big enough for that collision?

Is there some sort fo no-fault allowance for this kind of collision?

Not so much collide as pass through. Individual star to star collisions should be rare. Even the black holes in the middle are iffy about hitting.
