Jeez, that’s gratitude for you. If I were Gil, I’d just leave Surly McThatchbeard to his own devices. He doesn’t have to turn him into the cops, the hospital will do that when he can’t pay.

He told them he had insurance and they said “okay”. He didn’t have to provide any information about it until they got to the “pay here” window. Yeah, right. Although maybe that was true in the 50’s where this strip is usually based.

Every once in a while, strips on GoComics don’t update properly. Maybe it’s just selective memory, but it sure seems to hit “Gil Thorp” more often than most others here.
