“I hesitate to say it, but…I can’t tell you what I’m thinking for at least another 3 weeks Tracy”!
“Why can’t you tell me right now you fat pig, do you need another donut and glass of milk first”?
“Not at all, you web-fingered freak. It’s because the contract says I need to drag this out to the point that the readers are brain dead”.
“Oh, I get it, bring everyone, except Dorothy & Toto of course, to the point where they’ll want to vomit. You really are a sick, bloated weasel”.
“I know Dicky boy, no matter how hard we try we can’t get those two magpies to admit that the drawing & storytelling has been terrible for years. They’ll eat any garbage we give them”.
Neonteon, Diet only needs nine keys. Remember this is a guy who taught his robot how to speak without vowels. He probably built in a special function key for when he needs a 0. He has them all hotkeyed.
I “hesitate to say it.” Wow, someone finally admitted it. Would somebody who has a “pro” designation and doesn’t have to navigate through commercials help with the research and tell us how loooong this comic has been “hesitating to say it?”
Judge Parker seems to move slowly too - they’ve been at the same house interviewing the same lady for a month now. But it seems like they covered more there and the drawing is better too.

Aw come on Diet, say it!

Robo-Tracy’s neck is also a telephone receiver? Does that mean he should be working for the Dept. of Homeland Security??
What ever happened to the robbery at the 7-11? Do the thieves get away with the Slurpees?
Morrow Cummings about 16 years ago
Aha! I’ll bet Diet built a prototype and discarded it, thereby falling into bad hands overseas.

Diet’s phone only has nine buttons on its keypad… I suppose his technological savvy found a way to get rid of those annoying “*”, “0”, and “#” keys!

What’s the frequency, Kenneth?

…It’s bad when the CHARACTERS begin complaining about the repetitive nature of the plot.
The evil Traze-R’s detecting? The writer. But you guys already knew that.
Why would Tracy and Diet be using regular phones when they have the two way watches? Wouldn’t that be more secure?
Look at the first panel. Either Tracy’s giving the glare of death to panel 2, or he’s got eyebrows so thick that a gorilla’d be jealous.

Thanks for the morning laugh!

I haven’t checked DT for a couple of days. I guess I didn’t miss anything – except for all the great comments.

No…and at this rate the story will wrap up (maybe) sometime around Christmas or New Year’s. Happy Holidays, everyone….

The new story started on August 31st, 2008. Funny, it seems as though it’s been so much longer.

The comments are better than the strip.
rexmason about 16 years ago
Just out of curiosity, how far back does the archive in the pro section go for this strip?

Oh Lord: http://www.chron.com/apps/comics/showComic.mpl?date=2008/10/16&name=Dick_Tracy
This is ridiculous.
