She attempts to off the doc, splits to sell the purloined formula, meets the boss of Major Oil, gets shown the door, makes it back to the scene of the crime, and Tracy and the doc are waiting? She can do this in the span of…what, minutes, hours? And the cops could not find the perp? Dick Tracy is an insult to Police departments everywhere. I can suspend belief with the best of them but this is an outrage!
The end is near. For Angelawfulus , anyway. More questions. Did Noll accidentally give Tess & co. the gasoline substitute as perfume? Why would it smell like perfume? Or why else would one put it on? What happened to the toxic perfume story? Why is Angeloctane puncturing Tracy’s tank? Surely she thinks he is unaware of her attempted murder of Noll. No logic at all anywhere.
This is absolutely ludicrous. Where did she get the screwdriver? I thought the door was blown off the house? Why would she be opening a door that was hanging off its hinges? She took off her bracelets again.
Like a single shot in the night, today’s 3 panels, as a one off, stand alone strip, actually looks quite good. It’s when it’s brought together with the contradictions and the pall of what has gone before that a disquieting fear of opprobrium decends on the whole presentation.
There have been other such good isolated mini segments but the components of the story fail to hold intellegently together and emmbarrassingly for the Author fall apart like a poorly constructed house of cards.
There have been more “Drillers” on this board than the Lord allows, not for oil, but for nonsense and the have hit more “gushers” than experts expect in Anwar, Alaska.
It’s a good thing (for him) that Locher doesn’t read this board, the presentation lacks cohesivenes and the dynamics for even a paltry claimm to “passabe” status.
The reality would likely shatter his his aplomb.
To reach this point this story could have started some 3 to 4 weeks ago and with some needed adjustments retained all the elements, making more sense than the Author has been flaunting repeatedly for several weeks on his Merry-Go-Round

Parking a block away from Tess’s house [Angelorious creeps back into Tracy’s neighborhood].
“Tracy’s car! Gotta puncture his gas tank” she thought, glad she always kept her Swiss Army Knife on her. She knew all those years of watching MacGyver would pay off!
“He won’t be chasing me tonight.” She wickedly thought.
“Ah, the doctor’s door is still open”.
Noll couldn’t believe he was reduced to playing a stiff.
“Oh well”, he thought, “Maybe I can get a spot on CSI”!
Creeping in, Angelorious wondered how come Noll’s body wasn’t where it was when she shot him.
Meanwhile, Tracy stood in the shadows, the suspense causing him to be silent in everyway possible.
Simple Simon strikes again. Didn’t Angelorious expect on returning to what SHE thought was a death scene, to see police guards presemt? Waiting for photographers and Forencics to complete their job? Why would she think she only has to disable Tracy’s car?
Is Tracy the only man on the Naperville force? no one else to be concerned about? 911 is still coming “FAST” ???
I think today I’ll give the “J. Hennessy Tucker (peeping through the picture) Medal to Chubsy for having spotted that Multi-Purpose tooth brush “Ange” used to puncture Tracy’s gas tank.;) She’s one strange gal, gas that smells like perfume and for a moment there, I thought, a derivative to use as toothpaste.
Hey! has Tracy called for back up? or is he going to do this job solo from a hunch? Why not call in Teevo so he could take notes and write up the job report? Time to stop being a “tattle-tale” at HQ !
You’re right it’s ONLY a comic strip, maybe this one is just a continuation of the satire MAD mag did-Tick Dracy-in about 1955, it makes about the same amount of sense. I’ll check my old books.
Angelgloriosky punctures Tracy’s gas tank and it pools where she’s kneeling. She and Tracy will have a confrontation– a spark from a gun shot flash will strike Angelgloriosky’s slacks, she’ll go up in flames and reignite Noll’s house consuming all in the conflragaration, thus ending the strip.
