I felt this was the worst Dick Locher story over the past two years. The Dick Tracy robot storyline doesn’t seem so bad next to this one - and that takes genius. I’m suprisaed by the lack of depth in storyline and characters. The Sunday strips too, should be part of the continiuty and not a precis of the week gone by (or sometimes ahead) it makes for jarring reading.
Panel One: Tracy is ready for his interpretive dancing class. Tess is remembering poor Yorick.
Panel 2: Naperville 911 featuring Larry, his brother Darryl, and his other brother,…Darryl still haven’t responded to any calls. Angelorious is extra crispy.
Panel 3: Poster on the Naperville players playhouse: Professor Noll IS Mister Hyde.
I doubt an oil company would really want such a formula. Would they really want to make it possible for motorists to drive miles and miles on a few drops of fuel? Where is the $$$$ in that?
Three panel scenes, 3 stores! All pull there shutters down at the same time. Story over for sure. Has a panel been reserved for tomorrow, for CIA’s Cos Grove to pull his down too?
Anyone wish to take a guess when we will get our first peek of the new rogue?
Grok - the latter received complaints the first time it was posted. We’ll see what happens now. Hated deleting the rest, but it’s all or nothing from this end.
You know, you’d think the ole perfesser would cut Tess and the girls in on the formula. Especially the poor lady who got her face burned up weeks ago. Usually guys like the Perfessor are dead by this time in a Dick Tracy story. He ought to include them in just out of gratitude.
what happened to the “mad bomber” that the CIA was looking for? and …if Noll was going to sell his formula to BIG OIL why did they bother dealing with Angelwhosis /
Unfortunately, there’s no comment section, which makes reading the strip (in my opinion) kind of like a trip to the dentist with no lollipop (not even a sugar-free one) afterward. And I would certainly miss your humorously appropriate takes on this strip.

This is the wrap up, but what a total mess the story was.

So, it’s over??? Is Dick going undercover as a beatnick for his next storyline???

I don’t know what to say anymore. It seems that Locher pulled the plug abruptly on this story.
Tess looks like she’s related to Bob Hope in the first panel and Nubby is looking different AGAIN in the last panel.
I guess it’s time for the next story. Woo-Hoo!

Maybe the professor will someday buy himself a set of lab safety goggles.

So, what was the point of CIA Man again? Anybody?
What happened to the perfume formula?
Whatever happened to Tess’ friends that came over when the story started?
Tracy looking rather svelte today.

Like I said the other day, this story was a total cluster**, with no direction. Glad it’s finally over…

Looks like Tracy has a hook for a right hand.

“The Celebrated Cases of Dick Tracy”. Maybe they could just reprint old cases and save a lot of heartache for diehard DT fans.
