Jack’s ‘eye-shadow’ in panel 1? High-octane terrifying. What’s up with that thing?! And in Panel 2, why’s his eye CLOSED, if that’s his only functioning one? Is he pointing a gun at the spot he hopes Tracy is still standing at?
I don’t see the point in doing these re-runs to encourage people to only read the Sunday strip. The compacted Sunday versions are even MORE incomprehensible! Here it just sounds like King shot Jack because he was incompetent.
I decided I was wrong and needed to take Locher’s advice. So, I went to Harrah’s and before I sat down at the $10 Blackjack table, I started schmoozing with the other players, including the dealer. Security threw me out. Except they had more than Locher/Broz led me to expect.
I’ve previously been under the impression that police feel uncomfortable when an unknown person who’s just committed a homicide is still holding his gun.
But I guess these police are particularly mellow.
Or maybe Locher forgot that there’s several other police standing politely in the wings.
A number of readers have commented recently about hopes of being done with the tawdry, putrid card puns. I was also hoping, but no such luck. apparently someone gave the writer a very large manual of them.
Seems like we saw 43% of today’s strip last week Sunday. What’s the upside for “repeating” it. again ? We already saw it for a SECOND time in the daily strips
Perhaps Locher thinks we’re not just children … we are “challenged” kids. We have the see it repeated more often to understand it
How about four ? Get it ? Get it ? Get it ? ??
But that’s not the problem. Go and read a Chester Gould story. Then, it may come to you !
Then, there is another problem. A new callous attitude Tracy has developed. No interest in the shot Jack. Is he breathing? Alive ? Needs an Ambulance? You don’t even have Tracy look at him. He is not declared dead ! Rather, you have Tracy indulge his curiosity by talking with the King of Clubs as a man bleeds to death ! Similar attitude with Cellphone and Baskerville
Today, tips for gamblers. Next week, tips for robbers! Although convenient, convenience stores don’t have much money in the register. Need extra cash? Rob a liquor store!

CRIMESLOPPER”S: Know the players… is that a gun in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?

What’d I do wrong, Mr. Locher?

Can they drop this strip and run “Fearless Fosdick” instead. At least those plots would be more believable.

The king of clubs looks a little too pretty in this strip. I think he secretly wants to be the queen of clubs.
wndwrthg, I second your emotion.
