Coming Soon đ At the beginning of April, youâll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
The King: Yeah, so my managers were extorting tax-free cash from certain customers. Not that I would know anything about that.
Hey, King of Clubs. Give me 750,000 bucks and Iâll look the other way to you shooting your employee in front of me. STAT!
Cribrobberâs Guidebook: This actually happened to a friend of my dadâs, sort of. A man next to him at an intersection called out (and Iâm paraphrasing), âI bet you think youâre real big with that long hair!â
My dadâs friend grinned and agreed, he DID think he was real big.
The man pulled out a rifle and pointed it at the long-haired gentlemen. âThink youâre big now?â Luckily, he was content to intimidate.
The lesson is⊠donât stop your car next to crazy people⊠or something. Even though Iâve known this to happen, I still donât think itâs effective in any way.
So KOC is aware of crimes taking place and he does not report them? If indeed this strip is being toned down for younger readers, even they must be disgusted with the insult to their intelligence.
Did the King of Clubs hire from Big Ace because the hire managers came with costumes to match the Kingâs? The Crime Stomper Textbook should have been should have warned against that!
If King of Clubs âleasesâ out his Casinos to others he is not directly involved with customers, So no need to wear that ridiculus âKing Suit. to help charge up the Casinoâs ambiance. Seems a littte silly.
Now â the âMATRIXâ pack ! Wow ! A new ( hi-tech gimmic to fight crime. Is this another âone offâ appearance like the robot Traze R ? At storyâs end theyâre locked in an Al Gore âBOXâ, never to be seen again ?
Then how does Tracy get his âhandsâ on this high powered Matrix pack before he enters Monteâs Casino tomorrow morning. A little âteleportationâ of the âMatrixâ device in the vein of Tracy disapearing from Sunny Dell and in a âflashâ (in mid-sentence), is seen at Jackâs Casino talking to the King
â Iâm sucking my thumb now ! This is all so exciting ! An instantanious, spacial âjumpâ, thatâs now the âin-thingâ compared to travel in 1960 in those SLOW, Magnetic Space Coupes.
It must have been the âcheeseâ they found on the other side of the Moon. Itâs mostly âfull of holesâ, Grandpa Dicky said itâs like âSwissâ for things (bloopers?) do pass through very quickly and as Uncle Mattie proudly pointed out it also bears a striking resemblance to the âscriptsâ of a âheroâ he has in Naperville, whoâs âworkâ somehow manages to pass through the Syndicateâs office quickly.â
â I like when they write these stories so simply for us little kids. That way âanythingâ can happen, even if Daddy says it is ârediculousâ ! But itâs real fun to see the âimpossibleâ. happen, and most times Grandpa Dicky makes sure it does ! Like how Tracy is about to get that âMatrix card packâ from HQ tomorrow entering Monteâs without anyone coming to give it to himâ
â If it doesnât, I sometimes CRY and Grandpa comes over, rumples my head, and gives me a Dick Tracy lollipop ! He said if I behave one day he might give me a âyellow rubber duckieâ too. â
â I canât wait ! â
â Qh ! I like the way the man in the Crimestoppers drives todayâ . .â look dad,⊠NO HANDS ! â.
OTOH a friend once told me he pulled up to a traffic light and the guy in the car next to him threatened him with a bazooka, a howitzer and nuclear weapons.
Thatâs nothing.
I once gave the finger to an idiot in another car and HE KILLED ME!
LOL OK ClubManâŠso youâre a really lively corpse ;)âŠI wonder what this âMatrix Packâ is? (Hopefully it doesnât involve characters named Neo, Morpheus, Trinity, the Oracle, etcetcetc) Gotta admit this story does keep you hanging onâŠ
Crimestoppers is right in a way. I once blew my horn at a guy because I almost hit him when he was passing me in the wrong lane. He then followed me for about 4 miles wanting me to pull over and fight. Just because I blew at him! What a jerk! Some people are mad at the whole world just because THEY have problems.
If Tracy âlosesâ KOCâs cash, I canât wait for the new story to begin! Wouldnât that be a great lead-in to the next episode! Youâd think that the cops would use funny money, marked money, or a briefcase with a dye-bomb. Maybe Tracy knows a chump when he sees one and is taking a shot at snatching some loot for his Dunkin Donut store and Tessâ perfume business.

Crimestoppers Textbook:
Do not stick your thumbs in your ears and wiggle your fingrs at other drivers.
They could die laughing.
Itâs also hard to steer with your thumbs in your ears.
KofC seems to be lacking in manager-hiring skills, no?

Crimestopperâs Textbook: Do not graft your hands to your ears without first obtaining proper medical advice. It could be dangerous.

Wow ⊠Crimestoppers is awful today!!!

You know, I always try to match what Iâm wearing with the interior of my car.

I get the sense that the guy in the Textbook is actually Dick Locher mocking us for making fun of his stories/artwork.

Last week Dick was going to meet BA someplace on Wright St, away from Monteâs. Now itâs back to Monteâs. The past can be changed.

@ NeonLeon - The King thought Dick was a little tense, so he gave him a shoulder rub in panel 5.5

The briefcase in the last panel looks like one of those seat cushions people bring to sporting events.
